R&R XBase

Post by Guy_Ralph_(Guest) » Thu Mar 06, 2003 12:45 pm

Hi,__My customer is a local Police Dept that is using Xpediter. This program contains R&R X-Base. We recently upgraded three of the computer systems with new ones running Windows XP. Since then we have been unable to print to networked printers from Xpediter. The error message is R&R X-Base cannot match printer or port in control file. This error occurs regardless of the networked printer selected.____Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.____Guy

Does the user get a printer dialog to select the printer before they get the error?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes. I select a printer, it prepares the document for printing then crashes with the error.____There are 4 systems on the network and all experience the same problem. ____I should mention that this is on a fresh install of Windows XP Home.____To troubleshoot we have uninstalled the software and printer and re-installed. Both on the server and client.____Guy

After you select the printer, try hitting the properties button. Then close properties and then try to print. See if that works.____Kathleen__R&R Support
