SQL Server 7 and Unicode

We are using R&R SQL 8.1.026 to access SQL Server 7.____When performing a query against a dataset whose fields are defined as "nchar" nothing is ever selected. However, performing the same query against another database whose fields are defined as "char" produces results. Other than "char" and "nchar" the database structures are identical.____We have tried these same queries in Crystal Reports and it always selects records.____Does R&R support "nchar" fields?__
