Can not run R&R V9

I have been using R&R version 9 for sometime and had no problems what so ever.____Today, I was using it and all of a sudden I get this message "No available network user ID" and it does not function any more.____I have to use R&R to get some reports immediately done but I can not do it as I can not get into the program at all.____can any one help me out to get this running?____Your immediate response is much appreciated.____

You need to run the user management program and unlock the serial number or as a last resort you can re-install.____Kathleen__R&R Support

For Xbase the user management program is RRWUSERS.EXE.__A serial number will become locked if a user who is running the report designer re-boots their machine while R&R is still active.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks Kathleen. I will watch out for that error.____How do I make parameters to have a default value of "All" when the user does not enter anything.____For example, if the user does not enter a value for customer type, which is part of the query, I want the R&R not to query for that selection.____I have a report where there are more than 4 filters. These filters are used to select the appropriate records from the database and if the user does not enter a value in any one of the filter fields, I want the query where these filters are used, not to use it in the selection of the records.____You have helped me a lot in sorting out issues I have been having and would appreciate if you could give me some guidence on this too.____Thanks and Regards__

If it is a character field you can use * as the default value to select everything. LASTNAME=^*^ will return all values in the LASTNAME field.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks once again Kathleen.____I was able to use your suggestion and it worked.____This brings about another question. How do I get it to work on dates?____I have two parameters which has dates and both are used in the query to select relevant records.____If the user skips the date parameter and goes on to execute the report, how do I make the R&R report to have aselection for all dates?____I have been trying to get this working and I am not successful____Your immediate response is much appreciated.____Thanks and Regards__

You set the default date to {*/*/*} to match any date.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Thanks.____If I set the default to {*/*/*} and in the query if I say RECDATE is equal PARADATE will it select all dates in the database?____The RECDATE is a field in every record in the database and PARADATE is the field which the user fills in during runtime.____I tried this but I am not sure whether it worked.____Would appreciate your immediate response.____Thanks and Regards__
