rtf page numbers and new page

Post by freitas » Mon Jul 07, 2003 10:55 am

I am using Version 10+ with a RP5 file. The report, which was created with version 8.1, shows the proper page number as well as new page breaks when printing or viewing. However, if I save it to a .RTF file the page number is always the last page number and there is no new page break. ____Tom Freitas

Does the report contain a page footer band line?__Sometimes RTF exports do misbehave if there is no page footer in the report.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Yes! If I run the report on the screen it pages as it should and the page numbers appear as they should. If I save it as a text, it works as it should. If I save it as a pdf, then the report only shows the last page number, even if there is more then one page due to the number of lines. There is only on header since there is no page break.____Tom Freitas

Yes, it does have a footer with total amounts. The page break is right after the footer. Is this a known bug?

you can view the report as a pdf at http://www.railsoft.com/m_tour/brc.pdf ____Like I said, it works as it should when viewing, printing or save to pdf or text files. It does not work when saving to rtf____Tom Freitas

__Saving to an RTF using the R&R native RTF export feature can be a real pain sometimes. In my experience, sometimes it works with a particular report, sometimes it doesn^t work with another report.____An easier option would be to use the Amyuni driver www.amyuni.com____hth
