Feild length

I just started working here and am new to RR and need some help. My employer has printed invoices at 8.5in x 7.5in . My predecessor created the invoice and nobody else has knowledge of the program. What we need to do is have a variable length feild for listing products. The quantity is in a column on the left and a description to the right. It is currently set to a mandatory five lines. which have to be made blank if the five lines aren^t filled and another invoice has to be printed if it runs over five lines. I can send a copy of the invoice file in RR version 9.
