pdf^s and Windows XP Pro

Post by Thomas_Freitas_(Guest) » Thu Apr 29, 2004 11:43 am

I have a client that is using Windows XP Pro. They deleted the CDINTF.DLL and installed the PDF Drivers with the install.exe. They then made sure that the CDINTF.DLL file was completely gone from the directory. When they run a report, it works as it should with no errors. When they run a report to print as a pdf, they receive the error "Can not match printer or port in control file".____The control file is rrwrunin.dbf and the printer controls read as follows:____ replace all ri_wptr with "R&R PDF Export"__ replace all ri_printer with ""____They have a pdf printer already installed, Fine Print PDF Factory, and I was wondering if this might be what is causing this problem.____I had them uninstall the pdf driver program and set the "Fine Print PDF Factory" printer as the default printer. When they tried to run a report as a pdf, they received the same error.____I have Windows XP Pro and the pdf function works here with no problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.____Tom Freitas

Try adding the line:__PDFDriver=0____to the Defaults section of your RRW.INI and see if that helps.____Kathleen__R&R Support
