Writing PDF^s in version 10

Post by John_Garrigues_(Guest) » Tue May 18, 2004 1:15 pm

Hi there. I saw some other references to PDF issues here but I haven^t been able to solve this problem. I want to output R&R reports as a PDF file so I select R&R PDF Export as a printer. On Windows 2000 machines this gives me the error "there was an error found when printing the document xxxx.rrw to PDF." On Windows XP R&R simply crashes without giving any errors. The print jobs get stuck in the print manager for R&R PDF Export and no file is produced. I^ve renamed cdintf.dll...what else do I need to do to get this working? Thanks in advance...

You can run the PDF driver install program that is found in the PDFFILES subdirectory of your R&R CD.____Kathleen__R&R Support

>You can run the PDF driver install program that is found in __>the PDFFILES subdirectory of your R&R CD. __>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support ______Well I tried that, it gives a bunch or errors about files being in use. It did install a new printer though, named "PDF Compatible Printer Driver." When I try printing to this the print job just sticks in the queue, I^m never prompted for a file name. Any other thoughts?____John

If you run install without an option printer name argument__INSTALL.EXE__rather than__INSTALL "R&R PDF Export"____the default printer name is PDF Compatible Printer driver.____To create a PDF you need to use File Print, select the PDF printer, add a check to the print to file box in the upper middle right of the File Print dialog and then enter the PDF file name in the box at the lower right.______Kathleen__R&R Support
