Formating Detail lines

Post by radhak » Thu Jul 29, 2004 5:22 am

I have a report which has lines printing (detail lines after doing a scan on couple of files)one after the other. The issue here is that, I am printing the record from one file on the first detail line which is formatted as one column line and I would like to print the other line (record/s from entirely a different file) in a two column format.____If I format it as two column format, I get all the detail lines as two columns and vice versa. ____Is there any way, I could control the formats of the individual detail lines.____Your immediate response is much appreciated.

You could potentially look at the article Printing Related Records on the same line that in on our tech notes page. But this would be a reasonably complex thing to try to accomplish.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Thanks Kathleen.____I tried reproducing the same example shown in the article and guess what, the Self-referencing calculated field did not work at all. ____I tried my level best to get it working and all I got was the first record duplicated all over the place.____Are you sure that this document is correct?____Your immediate response is much appreciated.
