R&R Hangs for long periods of time

The users are running R&R reports from Foxpro and the R&R viewer just sits there. The task manager shows a not responding message for that process. This also happens when I open the report in the designer. Eventually there report will run and the designer will open but it is definitely having some issues______The report is in an *.RP5 library and we are using a R&R 8.

this sounds anold problems - the printer name saved with the report was changed - when this happens - RR looks for the saved printer name across all available network printers - which can take a LOT of time.____the fix is to either (1) save the current printer name with the report__or (2) change the printer name in the control file entry RI_WPTR to "DEFAULT" - which will use the current printer default and NOT the saved printer name.__
