Printing R&R V10

Post by Carol_P_(Guest) » Wed Jan 05, 2005 7:51 am

Hello,____We have a client running a Delphi 7 Program which prints reports using R&R v10 via the OCX control.____They can print to the network printers but when they select the HP LaserJet 6P which is directly cabled to one PC the report goes to the print queue and gets stuck there. It will not print and has to be deleted manually.____Thanks in advance for any suggestions____Carol

Does it help if you select the Properties button in the print dialog prior to printing?____Kathleen__R&R Support

Hello,____I passed your suggestion along to the client and it has helped to find the cause of the printing hanging. ____The problem seems to be that the HP local printer defaults to a tray 1 setting for the paper source. If its changed to automatically select the tray in the printer properties it prints. However it goes back to the tray 1 setting after printing. ____Is there an R&R parameter I can pass via the OCX to force the printer tray to automatic?____Thanks__Carol

There is not a way to programatically set the tray via the OCX.____Kathleen__R&R Support

Kathleen,____Thanks for your help. I^ll suggest to the client that they try and change the printer settings to automatic tray selection from the printer icon.____Carol
