Ver 11 problem

I^m one of those very old R&R DOS users, therefore, I generally create the initial report in ver 6 and then convert or print in the Windows version as needed. Since upgrading to ver 11 from 10+, it looks like Report Designer is making every line that has a field or text a nonprintable line. Looking in the band column, each line has the "?" in it. Upon checking the properties of the band, no condition is listed. Even a band which I had a conditional no longer has condition listed. I brought up the report library/report again in version 10+ again with no problem so it looks like a version 11 problem. Any solution other than going back to version 10+ or not starting with the DOS version?
