Table won^t open

Post by Barry » Fri Feb 04, 2005 5:33 pm

I have a report built in Ver 10 that is called from a Dos Clipper program that runs fine on my system (WIN2000).____I have shipped my total folder to my customer and, when he tries to run the program, gets the following error msg in RRUNOUT:____"Cannot open database table (table may be in use) printit.DBF"____All databases have been closed and the table exists.____Any ideas???

In RRW.INI set the DataDir= in the Defaults section to the directory where this table is located.__This will allow R&R to find it.______Kathleen__R&R Support

Th RRW.INI file does not have this parameter on my system, yet the printing works correctly. The RRW.INI file is located in the WINNT folder. I have never had to do this for any of my other customers. Did I just get lucky? If I do this, do I have my customer put the INI file into the default folder or in the system folder?____Thanks for your help.

R&R uses a set of rules to remember the path of data files that are used in the report. It uses the default data directory when a file cannot be found in its saved location.____All of these rules are described in the documentation.____Kathleen__R&R Support

"In RRW.INI set the DataDir= in the Defaults section to the directory where this table is located.__This will allow R&R to find it."____Hi Kathleen,____I did the above and had the customer put the .INI file in the default folder as well as the WINNT folder. Still have the same problem. Any other ideas?____Thanks for your help.__
