V11.0.003 Auto recovery

Post by pauldb » Tue Feb 15, 2005 9:04 am

When launching a second instance of R&R Designer (which is necessarry because R&R still can^t handle MDI windows), I now get a box saying "R&R has detected an autorecovery file for the report ....RRW Do you want R&R to recover this report?"____However, the report which is mentioned in the box, is the other report that is open in the first instance of R&R...

You can just say no to this question.____When autorecovery is enabled, R&R writes the name of the currently open report to the INI file. If you close the report or end the R&R session, this INI setting is removed. If you start a second R&R session, it reads the INI and sees the name of the autorecovery file.____Overall I would say that enabling auto recovery and running multiple designer sessions is probably not a good thing to do.____MDI support has been on the enhancement list for quite some time but has so far not been implemented.____Kathleen__R&R Support

It would definitely produce unpredictable results so would not be suggested.____Kathleen__R&R Support
