Slow Runtime After PDF Install

Post by Mike_Wilcock_(Guest) » Sun Feb 27, 2005 9:42 am

Hi,____I^m using R&R11 with XP Pro SP2. Since installing the PDF printer driver from the R&R CD the Runtime now seems to take rather a long time to execute.____I^ve un-installed the driver and even done a system restore, but it still takes 10-12 seconds if I click rrwrun.exe before the select file dialog apears. This used to happen almost instantly.____The one Windows 2000 workstation that we have does not seem to be affected when we install the PDF driver.____Does anyone have any ideas?____Thanks,______Mike

Mike,____We found that while the development machine was slow if it included the pdf setting option, the runtime machines were not.____Lisa

In a similar, but unrelated issue, I have found that since Liveware took over R&R, using runtime with inserted text files has been painfully slow. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Did the slowdown indeed start occuring with the 8.1 release that we did several years ago?____Kathleen__R&R Support
