Same old printing problems

I am using the 11.0.003 version of R&R Xbase and am having the same problems with printing a report for several entities that has a series of six graphs. This has been a problem since graphing has been an option in R&R.____The report will print several reports and then bomb out. Once this happens you need to reboot your PC before it will work again.____The error message in version 11 is:____The instruction at "0x73dd11c7" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program____This is an annual frustration with R&R as we need this report for 3000 congregations. I have send Kathy Fleming the report and data so that the issue can be recreated. I am pretty sure that this is not a hardware issue in that I have probably gone through two or three PCs over the years since creating this report. ____Is Liveware Publishing ever going to resolve this?

We are experiencing the same problem.____We (managed care organization) have been using R&R since the DOS days. We are now running version 10.1.003 and experiencing these same issues on a regular basis. So much so, in fact that last month we were forced to purchase our first 5-user license of Crystal XI (Business Objects) for evaluation. I personally prefer R&R for ease of use and quick adhoc reports, but Crystal is quickly becoming our primary reporting tool. ____Our analysts have already requested additional licenses, which indicate a swing in reporting tool confidence. ____I suggest this fix become an R&R priority. __

It is still on the to be fixed list and is listed as such in the README that is shipping with the latest 11.1.007 update.____Kathleen__R&R Support

__At our company we are experiencih same problems - I just posted request for help, almost exactly same as your^s; unfortunately, R&R is quite picky about printer all the time.____Is this perhaps in connection with fact, that r&r is largerly build upon code, which originates from 90^s?____problematic are mainly networked printers (ip, LPR) etc...__Most of time it is ok, but when reports are combined with graphics__logos, lines, charts,... it becames problematic.____Solutions are (for PCL compatible printers) in installment of Ms Win drivers for HP-LJ and very short printer names and/or usage of RRS (text control files) instead of DBF control files.____but.... why bother anymore?

I actually think that your problem may be different that the problem above. Which version of R&R are you using and are you seeing this problem only in runtime?____Kathleen__R&R Support
