exporting with .RRS

Post by GaryL_(Guest) » Tue Mar 29, 2005 1:20 pm

I am using R&R version 9 and have encountered a "viewer error" Windows message while trying to export to a text file from a .RRS command file.__The report functions properly when executed normally. It also will function when I select printer or screen in response to the WI_PRINTER=?. This is a copy of my control file. I have tried to also utilize RI_PRINTER=A and RI_OUTFILE=<filename>____RI_LIBRARY=__RI_REPORT=F:MOM2002PURCHASE_ORDERSPACK_LIST2.RRW__RI_PRINTER=?__RI_OUTFILE=__RI_WTITLE=PRINT VENDOR PO__RI_STATUS=__RI_WPTR=__RI_QUERY=__RI_SCOPE=__RI_DISPERR=__inputPO_NUM=?Please enter PO Number____I receive an error after the export window displays and I select "text" and then "edit"____This is a copy of the Windows error____R&R Report Viewer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Is there a full install of R&R on this machine or just the runtime files? If runtime, did you include the export DLL files?____Kathleen__R&R Support

That is certainly strange. Does the problem occur on all reports or just a particular report?____Kathleen__R&R Support

I have succeeded in getting the RRS to run the report and export by using WI_PRINTER=CSV. However it will only run if I also use a specified filename in WI_OUTFILE=<filename>. Is there any way to control the OUTFILE by user input? We are trying to create text files that are named related to the PO_NUM for transferring inventory.____Thanks

Try using:____RI_WPTR=DEFAULT__RI_PRINTER=?____and see if that allows you to successfully use the export dialog at runtime.____Kathleen__R&R Support
