R&R not creating PDF files.

Hi Kathleen____Subject:R&R report writer is not generating PDF reports when my VB application excutes as service.____I am using VB6.0 and R&R for windows, SQL Edition Version 8.1 build 8.1.025____I have two VB applications (FaxRep.exe, PdfRep.exe) both uses R&R report writer to generate reports.____I installed two printer/drivers (1RightFax Server, 2.Adobe PDF Writer.)__on windows 2000 server where my applications are resided. ____ 1. FaxRep.exe application generates faxes using R&R report writer and this application runs as a service. I don_t have any problem generating faxes by running FaxRep.exe application as a service.__---____2. PDFRep.exe application generates PDF files using R&R Report writer, but the problem here is whenever we want to execute PDFRep.exe, someone needs to logon to the server until application generates the PDF files. But we want to execute/run PDFRep.exe application as a service. __I have no idea where problem was its in R&R report writer or Adobe PDF Writer?____Is there any easy solution to fix this problem?____Thanks in advance.__

You might try CutePDF writer. I don^t know if it work for your situation, but I know it does work with R&R.

Hi Alan__In my question I mentioned service, what I mean is my applications will be executed by Windows Scheduler Task at a certain time on every day. ____I noticed, R&R report icon is showing on my taskbar, whenever I call R&R report from my VB application. Is there any way to stop showing R&R report window on windows taskbar. ____I just downloaded CutePDF. I will try to generate PDF reports using this new software. ____Thank you very much for your reponse .____-- RK
