PDF Printing not working

Post by pauldb » Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:07 am

HI,____I^m having a very weird PDF printing problem.__Reportworks version 11.____Several reports producing PDF output.. They work OK except for one workstation. On that one, the generated PDF file cannot be opened by Adobe ("damaged file"). ____I fail to see what^s different with this PC: Windows XP-SP2, Adobe 7.0 (Full product), working with Admin rights, R&R v11: exactly the same situation as for others workstations here.____That^s problem 1.____Problem 2, on this very same PC: as said, a full Adobe 7 is installed so one could also produce the PDF output by selecting the "Adobe PDF" printer, instead of leaving the PDF conversion upto R&R. ____However, on that particular PC, when selecting the Adobe PDF printer, the reports seem to ignore this and just prints to the default printer anyway!!____This is only typical for R&R reports, in any other application on that PC, one can use the Adobe PDF as it should.____Any suggestion of things to check or change is welcome!____Paul____________________

>What is in the runtime control file for __>RI_PRINTER __>RI_WPTR __>RI_OUTFILE __>__>__>Kathleen __>R&R Support ______I am not using the viewer control file but the DLL. ____SetPrinter equals to "R&R PDF Export"__SetOutputDest equals to " " (blank)__SetOutputfile: whatever the user chooses, through a File, Save As dialog box. e.g. "c: emp est.pdf"____These settings do fine on any PC... except that one!______Paul__
