Editing line drawing

Post by Cliff_Wiernik » Tue Dec 06, 2005 4:10 pm

Using Version 10+. I have drawn some boxes on reports. However, I need to modify the length of the lines to make them connect properly. I can select the line and use F7 to enable moving via the arrow keys. However, if I need to expand or shorten the line length, I can get the little arrow to appear but know another way existed to microspace adjust the line length without using the mouse with is hard to do. However, I cannot remember how I did that.____What are the procedures to use to allow use of the keyboard to modify the length of lines drawn.

Try right clicking on the ruler and increasing the number of points per inch in the grid. You will still use the mouse, but you will have finer control. Also you can use Format - Snap to Grid to turn off that feature for the report altogether.

You can hit F7 and then hold down ALT and use the arrows to microspace the movement of the line, but not to shorten or elongate it. ____I don^t recall anything that used the keyboard to change the length. I hope Kathleen comes up with it. If anyone knows it would be her!
