Supported image file types
I am interested in the image file support with R&R 11, specifically what image file types are now supported with the new LeadTools graphics library with v. 11. Are all supported image types still raster format, or are any vector graphic formats now supported?____Thanks__Peter Craig

Could you provide a list of the supported file types.____Thanks again__Peter Craig

R&R supports the image file formats listed below. ____File Extension/Image File Type__BMP_Windows Bitmap__TIF_Tagged Image File format__PCX_PC Paintbrush format__EPS_Encapsulated PostScript__JPG_JPEG __GIF_CompuServe Graphics Interchange Format__TGA_TARGA __WMF_Windows Metafile__DIB_Windows Device-Independent Bitmap__PCT_Macintosh PICT__WPG_WordPerfect Graphic__DCX_Intel FAX format__Note that EPS, WMF, PCT, and WPG file formats can include both bitmapped and vector components. For these file formats, Report Designer will use only the bitmapped graphic information. ____

Do the terms of your license with LeadTools allow you to add support for vector image types? If so what are the chances of seeing this support added (the image support we would be most interested in seeing would be for DXF and/or WMF files). Is it just a matter of including the appropriate LeadTools dll with R&R distributions? Our interest by the way is in having the images on our reports always rendered at the highest quality, irrespective of resolution or zoom factor (important for our applications).____Thanks one more time__Peter Craig

It is not as simple as just adding an extra DLL. There would also need be changes to our internal code to allow for support for vector graphics so it will not likely occur in the short term I am afraid.____Kathleen__R&R Support
