Printing Problems R&R10.0 in XP

Post by Brigitte_McKee_(Guest) » Mon Aug 25, 2003 10:18 am

We are running a test database(xbase)and R&R 10.0 in XP. The reports in R&R seem to format ok but printing commands using either the print icon or the File, Print option receives a "Printer Error" message every time. Although the printer setup in R&R is done according to the instructions, we encountered the same problem with R&R version 8.1. All MS Office applications on the test pc print fine. Has anyone encountered similar problems in XP before? Thanks.

What happens if you use the Properties button in the printer dialog prior to printing?____Kathleen__R&R Support

When I open the Properties window next to the correctly identified network printer, I get all the options: Layout, Paper/Quality, Finishing, and I am able to make the appropriate selections. Also, the Properties window closes ok. However, as soon as click ok for the print job to process, I get an error message that R&R Report Writer Xbase Edition has encountered a problem and needs to close and then get booted out of R&R. I saved the error message as an image.

This could be a problem with the CDINTF.DLL file. Try renaming that file to something else and then try to print again.
